Noise Monitoring & Noise Impact Assessment
Absolute Laboratories provides comprehensive noise monitoring and assessment services for workplaces, construction sites, and residential developments — in compliance with MOM, NEA, and LTA requirements. Our team uses SAC-SINGLAS accredited instruments and SoundPLAN software for noise contour mapping and predictive modelling.
Our Noise Services
1. Workplace Noise Monitoring Report (MOM)
Under the Factories (Noise) Regulations, employers must conduct noise monitoring at least once every 3 years if workers are exposed to noise levels at or above 85 dB(A). Our accredited noise monitoring report satisfies this statutory requirement.
- Noise level surveys using Class 1 sound level meters
- Personal noise dosimetry for individual worker exposure assessment
- Noise contour maps generated using SoundPLAN software
- Intrinsically safe meters available for hazardous area surveys
- Full MOM-compliant report with recommendations
2. Noise Management Plan & Noise Impact Assessment (NEA / LTA)
Required for construction projects near sensitive receivers. We perform predictive noise simulations before and after mitigation measures to demonstrate compliance.
- Baseline ambient noise surveys
- Predictive noise modelling using SoundPLAN
- Assessment of mitigation measures (barriers, enclosures, scheduling)
- Noise Impact Assessment reports for NEA and LTA submissions
3. Ambient Noise Report (NEA)
Baseline ambient noise level measurements required before construction commences, to establish existing noise conditions and assess community impact.
4. Indoor Noise Assessment (NEA)
Assessment of indoor noise levels for Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP) and Certificate of Statutory Completion (CSC) applications. Includes façade noise level measurements.
5. Boundary Noise Monitoring (Environmental Protection and Management Act)
Continuous or periodic boundary noise monitoring to demonstrate compliance with NEA noise limits. Includes SoundPLAN visual noise analyses and written reports.
